Robert Half has an exciting contract-to-hire role for one of our medical practice clients. In this role, you will be main point of contact for all Medical Billing. Below are the duties:Process medical claims for services rendered to patients, including coding diagnoses and procedures accurately and in compliance with billing regulations.Verify insurance eligibility and benefits, obtain necessary authorizations, and submit claims to insurance carriers electronically or via paper format.Review and resolve claim denials, rejections, and appeals by researching billing discrepancies, coordinating with healthcare providers, and resubmitting claims as necessary.Generate patient statements, process payments, and follow up on outstanding balances to facilitate timely collections.Maintain organized electronic and physical records of patient accounts, billing transactions, and insurance correspondence.Collaborate with healthcare providers, clinical staff, and insurance companies to address billing inquiries and resolve issues promptly.Stay informed about changes in healthcare regulations, coding guidelines, and insurance policies affecting medical billing practices.Assist in the preparation of financial reports, revenue analysis, and accounts receivable aging reports related to medical billing activities.Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and patient privacy laws in handling sensitive medical and financial information.Participate in training sessions and professional development activities to enhance medical billing knowledge and skills.
